New to Xbox Play Anywhere – Resident Evil 7!
There was some pretty suprising news today regarding Resident Evil 7. In a tweet from Phil Spencer, Head of Xbox, it was announced that Resident Evil 7 will be a Xbox Play Anywhere title!
As you know, the Xbox Play Anywhere was announced at E3 2016. When you buy a digital copy of a game in this program, it will work for both Xbox One and PC. It provides a lot of value to those who play both PC and console.
I mostly expected Play Anywhere games include games from Microsoft Studios. It surprised me a great deal that a huge title from Capcom would also be a part of the program. This will hopefully open the door for more AAA titles to appear in the Play Anywhere program.
Resident Evil 7 will be available for purchase on January 24th, 2017.
