Review – Sports Bar VR

Sports Bar VR brings a great concept into the world of VR. It takes the social aspect of hanging out in a bar and throwing in some of your favorite bar games. Various games range from Billiards, Darts, Skee Ball, and a couple others. My first impression of the game was not all that great. The controls were a bit shaky, the interface and controls were not the best and simply put it got boring pretty quick. However, a recent update was released for the game and I have to say that it changed my mind about the game pretty quickly.
The controls have been improved, i feel that the graphics look a bit smoother, and the menu interface is a lot easier to navigate. All of these improvements have really helped with the game play. Aside from the roaming around the bar aspect, the social aspect comes into play with online multiplayer. Not only can you play against other people online, who appear right in front of you via a floating VR headset, but you can accessorize your VR Headset so people check check out the cool cowboy hat you’re rocking or other accessory of choice.
A great little Easter egg in the game is the ability to find random objects or toys laying around the bar that you can interact with. These objects/toys include as of the recent updated, a ping pong ball shooter, baseball, beach ball, and football. Many of these options are great to play catch with a friend or just simply seeing if you can get something knocked over. What a great way to have a bar fight and never be kicked out!
