E3 Journal – Day 3
It’s strange to write day 3. How can it already be the third day? Time is flying by and today marked my first time on the actual show floor. I got into line a few hours before the floor opened. The west hall entrance was abuzz with talk of the Nintendo stream that happened a little earlier. The Zelda title was shown in great detail and we had the opportunity to play it on the floor.
As the doors opened, big cheers rang out and the massive crowd pushed towards the doors. I heard several people joke about hearding cattle onto the show floor. As I entered, I saw how massive in scale the floor is. The west hall has the big 3 – Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo. Several other companies were set up in this hall as well as IGN and Gamespot stages.
I made a beeline to Nintendo, yet hundreds of E3 goers beat me to it. The line was long, but well worth the wait. I was able to see some of the Xbox area and play ReCore and Sea of Thieves. I hated that today was a half day on the floor. I was dying to have more time. After the show, I managed to make it to the Pokemon Symphony at the Microsoft Theater.
I will upload my impressions of Zelda, Sea of Thieves, ReCore, and the Symphony as soon as possible. Tomorrow, I will spend time in the South Hall for some appointments and fun. Keep it right here at GameOctane for more E3 news and reactions!
